two thousand and nine

we lived in tropical thailand
i learned more about myself
than i have before
removed from many touchstones
and safety nets
close friends and family
it has been hot and humid
challenging and exotic
lonely and overwhelming at times
overall though, it was a good year

a handmade Christmas

we made our Christmas decorations this year
the best part was the time spent together
nurturing creativity, making happy memories

thunderstorms and tropical downpours
are part of daily life this time of year
